Go Mobile or Your Potential Customers Will Go Elsewhere

Your Website needs to generate high quality traffic, & convert those visitors into profitable customers…

Building a website is the easy part, but if you don’t have a system that can find qualified leads & convert them into profitable clients, then you are wasting your money.

If you thought you were set; because you have a website. It turns out, that’s not enough. You need to get visitors to your site and convert them into customers once they make to your website.

That’s a big problem. Because what’s the point if people aren’t finding you online or buying your services?

So, I believe that offering a mobile responsive WordPress Site would be doing you a large disservice without offering to design & build your Marketing Funnel as well.

So I will also design & build your own Marketing System for you.

Our goal is to build a Marketing Funnel that lowers the cost of acquisition of your clients while you’re increasing immediate and lifetime customer value…

I will explain how the Marketing funnels work later on, ok? Getting More Customers provides a system for identifying the pains, frustrations and desires of your ideal clients so you can create raving fans by educating them and delivering a solution the prospects are looking for…

The good news is, if you know how to find the right people and get the right messages to them, you will have less business competing with you.

Your business will capture a larger share of the marketing, making more sales and larger profits and saving you money as well. Perfection stops Implementation.

It doesn’t have to be perfect you just need to start, then we can fine tune it.

Your Website is a blank canvas, which you can add as much texture and colour to enrich your visitor's experience.

In the last 87 months, my team of web designers have built hundreds & hundreds of Mobile Responsive Webpages…

So here’s what I learnt Building a website is like any building project, you need to have a plan and lay a foundation.

I have acquired from years of working in the building industry.

If your plan is hazy or vague, then you’re heading for disaster.

All they wanted was a simple swing, don't let this happen to your website...

All they wanted was a simple swing, don’t let this happen to your website…

So to avoid the grief, you need to complete this Website Brief. It may take you a little while to complete, but it will save you significant time and headaches.

  • What will happen if they don’t solve your problem? (Pain)…
  • What result can they expect?…
  • How does it work?…
  • Why should someone buy your product or service?…
  • What’s so special about your stuff?…
  • Do you have a USP Unique Selling Proposition?…

  • Are there other options available?…
  • What’s Your Call to Action?…

Does your Website look more like the old battered Jag or the shinny Jag?

You get the chance to restyle or design your website to show off your business.

Before we get carried away we need to do some homework…

It may be an Odd Place to Start but Look at Your Competitors Website First

If you know both yourself and your enemy you will prevail in a hundred battles “

The Art of War

It may be an Odd Place to Start but Look at Your Competitors Website First

This way you’re not looking at your Website through Your bias.  So you can see what’s working & what’s not working  & apply it your website.

You Get To Add Your Own Style To Your Website

Building a website like building a house. It’s too easy to get bogged down on style rather than functionality.

So the first question you should be asking. What is the purpose of my Website? What do I expect it to do for my Business?

  • Is it for Lead Generation?…
  • Is it going to be eCommerce Store?…
  • Is it to help your credibility, so you make more sales?…
  • Do you want to show off your Testimonials?…
  • Do you want to offer eLearning courses?…
  • Do you want to offer customer support & customer reference material?…Or..
  • Do you want something completely different…or
  • Maybe something else or even all of the above…

So once you work this out can start thinking how your site will look.

It’s time to Style Your Website

This is where it gets tricky.

Everybody has their opinion on what looks good.

It’s easy to get caught up in trying to create the perfect look & feel of your site.

You imagine this stunning website, which has amazing, awesome spinning shiny twirling things which just going to WOW your customers.

Let me share a frustrating story on the client without any clarity on her website should work…

Website disaster Style over Functionality

One of our clients referred us to another web project. She was looking for the perfect website.

She had tried a couple of web designers, but they could translate her abstract concepts into working a website.

The lack of completed website brief should have raised warning bells.

(We have since learnt this valuable lesson No brief No Website – It’s too painful & expensive)

She believed it was not necessary to fill in the website brief because she knew what she wanted I have to admit I failed minding reading, so this was always going to be a struggle.

She was so focused on making her site look beautiful.

She insisted we change the fonts more than 20 times.

If that wasn’t bad enough, when the website nearly finished, she would decide she didn’t like how it looked. So we would be expected to redesign how the website looks. This went on for months.

It was total time suck & it was like pouring money down the toilet because she could never get past how she visualised the site in her mind. Eventually, in frustration, we both agreed to cut our loses. So I assume she started looking for next website magician.

You are not your customer…

Your web visitors don’t give a stuff which font you use on your website. To a large part, they don’t care what colours your site uses.

(Sure certain colours can trigger an emotional experience.)

Ok, this is a ugly scary website, I just could not resist showing you this website…

I not saying having an ugly website with 11 different fonts using every colour in the Rainbow looks good either. I’m sure that would scare most of your visitors away. So let’s take a step back for a minute.

Remember how I mentioned you need to know what your purpose for your website is… This how we do it, by understanding the customer’s Intent.

Your Customer’s Intent Should Guide Your Website Purpose…

So ask yourself:

Who Are My Ideal Customers?

You see there are only 2 reasons why people surf the internet:

1. Entertainment – They are trying to amuse themselves or relieve boredom…

2. Information – They are looking to solve a problem or looking for a solution…

So your website either needs to entertain people or help them find answers & solutions they are looking for.

Most Business Owners know they need to a Website to get more customers, but they get caught up chasing the next bright shiny object, so they miss the real purpose of their website.

You see your website should be for real people, trying to cope with their pain & frustrations, that crop up in life.

They’ve rather be chasing their dreams…

So your goal should be to help them to overcome these roadblocks & obstacles so they can reach their dreams and desires with ease…

This is the big money-making secret. Most businesses miss, they’re too busy trying to flog more product, instead of solving the problems of their ideal customers.

People don’t buy products. They buy solutions to their problems.

If your website is not talking to people who are looking for a solution.

then you’re wasting time and money, chasing everybody…

They’re not listening, and they don’t even care…

If you need help on this get our Creating Ideal Customer Profile

If You Want To Get More Profitable Customers, Then Discover How To Find Your Starving Crowd …

I don’t want you wasting any more of your time, money or energy trying to market to everybody. Because most of them just aren’t listening because there not good prospects.

I’ll explain later on why targeting “everybody” is best left for dumb businesses who want to go broke…

Instead, You should be asking: Who is your Ideal Customer?

Ok, you now have worked who your ideal customers.

So we don’t get stuck chasing to conceptualise imagery concepts on your website. Let’s look at a couple of simple tricks to stop confusion.

Get Some Swipe Files

If you see a website you like do a screenshot of what elements you like on the site. This helps to turn abstract concepts into concrete design ideas.

Use A Website Wireframe

So I guess you might be asking what a wireframe is.

Website Wireframes

So this is pretty useful description.

A website wireframe, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website. Wireframes are created for the purpose of arranging elements to best accomplish a particular purpose. The purpose is usually being informed by a business objective and a creative idea. The wireframe depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website’s content, including interface
elements and navigational systems, and how they work together. The wireframe usually lacks typographic style, colour, or graphics, since the main focus lies in functionality, behaviour, and priority of content. In other words, it focuses on what a screen does, not what it looks like.

Add Your Own Style To your Website
